It Worked For Me: Ziplock Bags

Here’s an idea for a quick-and-dirty vacuum press. I went to the Home Depot and got some of those big storage bags, like Ziploc Big Bags XXL (20 gallon) with double zippers. I had a small refrigerator compressor, and I put a hose on the suction side with a car vacuum gauge to monitor for leaks. I find that it pulls down 15Hg and holds quite well. Cheap! ◆
