We've been serving luthiers for over 45 years, and we want you to be happy with your order.

Payment

You can order securely on this website using your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) or PayPal. If you prefer, you can order via the mail (see below).

Payment must accompany order. We do not bill, ship COD, or take phone orders.

If you have questions about ordering, or a question about a specific order, feel free to contact us using our form. Please check your spam filter if you have contacted us and are awaiting a response.

If you change your mind before we ship your order, or need to make changes, we are happy to assist you. Full refunds can be made prior to shipping your order.

Shipping Charges & Time

Inside the USA

$8.00 base charge plus additional per item charges as follows:
Plans, back issues, small books - $1 additional per item
Big Red books, Lute book - $2 additional per item
Hats – no additional charge Patches – free shipping

Outside the USA

$12 base charge plus additional per item charges as follows:
Plans, back issues, small books - $3 additional per item
Big Red books, Lute book - $10 additional per item
Hats – no additional charge Patches – free shipping

Special shipping issues: Due to problems with packages not reaching their destination, orders from China, Brazil, and Argentina should contact us for a quote for courier service.

In USA: Most US orders are shipped via Media Mail, so please allow three weeks for handling and delivery in the USA.
Outside USA: Orders outside the USA are shipped to a mail consolidator in the US and then entered into your country’s postal system, so expect five weeks or more for delivery.

Instrument plans, due to their large size and odd shape, tend to take the longest to arrive. If you are in a hurry to receive a plan (especially outside the USA), we suggest you request that your plans be folded and mailed in an envelope.

Member Discounts

Current members receive discounts on GAL publications as a benefit of membership. You can take the member discount immediately when you join. Discounts are generally $5 per item.

Important: IF YOU ARE NOT A CURRENT MEMBER AND CHOSE THE MEMBER PRICE, WE WILL SEND A REQUEST FOR THE DIFFERENCE AND IT WILL DELAY YOUR ORDER. We encourage you to support our information sharing system and save money on your order by joining the Guild!

Gift Membership and Orders

If you are purchasing a gift membership, please be sure to indicate whose name the membership should be in and their mailing address. If you are ordering items as a gift for a member, you may take the member discount. (Please include the member’s name, even if we are shipping to another address.) We can include a gift card with the order if you request it.

Washington State Sales Tax

Sales tax is applied to all orders from Washington State addresses (sales tax does not apply to membership dues). Applicable WA State sales tax will be automatically added to your online order when you check out.

Ordering by Mail

If you prefer, you can mail your order with your check or money order (in the USA only). See the shipping charges above to calculate the correct shipping amounts to add to your order.

If ordering by mail from Washington State, please add WA State sales tax for your locality.
