Ordering Info Shipping Member Discounts Gift Orders Ordering By Mail We've been serving luthiers for over 50 years, and we want you to be happy with your order. Ordering and Payment You can order securely on this website using your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) or PayPal. If you prefer, you can order via the mail (see below). Payment must accompany order. We do not bill, ship COD, or take phone orders. If you have questions about ordering, or a question about a specific order, feel free to contact us using our form. Please check your junk folder if you have contacted us and are awaiting a response. If you change your mind before we ship your order, or need to make changes, we are happy to assist you. Full refunds can be made prior to shipping your order. HINTS TO MINIMIZE SHIPPING COSTS We don’t require a minimum order, so if you order one or two items, the cost per item will be large. If you order more items at once, it will reduce shipping cost per item. Shipping Charges & Shipping Time Inside the USA $10 base charge plus additional per item charges as follows: Back issues, Anthology books - $1 additional per item Plans, Big Red books, Lute book - $3 additional per item Logo merchandise – no additional charge Patches – free shipping Most US orders are shipped via Media Mail, so please allow three weeks for delivery in the USA. Instrument Plans in the USA are mailed rolled in a tube/box, and due to their large size and odd shape, tend to take the longer to arrive. If you are in a hurry to receive a plan, we suggest you request that your plans be folded and mailed in an envelope. Outside the USA $15 base charge plus additional per item charges as follows: Plans, Back issues, Anthology books - $4 additional per item Big Red books, Lute book - $12 additional per item Logo shirts – $2 additional per item Patches – free shipping Orders outside the USA are shipped to a mail consolidator in the US and then entered into your country’s postal system, so expect five weeks or more for delivery. Special shipping issues: Due to problems with packages not reaching their destination, orders from Argentina, Brazil, China, and Italy should contact us for a quote for courier service. Outside the USA, instrument plans are folded and mailed in an envelope. If you wish your plans to be rolled and shipped in a tube, please mention this in the order notes. Extra shipping charges may apply. Member Discounts Current members receive discounts on GAL publications as a benefit of membership. You can take the member discount immediately when you join. Be sure to select the drop-down member price when ordering. Important: IF YOU ARE NOT A CURRENT MEMBER AND CHOSE THE MEMBER PRICE, WE WILL SEND A REQUEST FOR THE DIFFERENCE AND IT WILL DELAY YOUR ORDER. Gift Membership and Orders If you are purchasing a gift membership, please put your name and address as the purchaser and the recipient’s name and mailing address in the “ship to a different address” section of the shopping cart. Washington State Sales Tax Sales tax is applied to all orders from Washington State addresses (sales tax does not apply to membership dues).
